A new art magazine with global outreach
A wonderful odyssey has begun with the launch issue of IRIS Art Mag, a universal art project with support of artists, sculptors, collectors, art gallery and museum professionals, litterateurs and academics on all five continents.
As Tony Huggins-Haig, one of the most collectable modern contemporary artists in Britain opines, “Art can liberate, hopefully bringing people from all religions, countries and social groups together.”
Aisha K Shahnawaz, an art graduate from Karachi, now living in Los Angeles, agrees too, and wishes all success to the story-telling process with each and every one of the artists IRIS team would be working with.
Sincerity of purpose, a firm approach to the subject and robust professionalism are the elements that go into making of IRIS.
The e-magazine is named after Iris which, in Greek mythology, is the goddess of the rainbow and messenger of the gods. Iris is also a pretty flower with delicate colour and texture. Besides, Iris is the small hole through which the light enters the eye or the camera to cast a virtual image. Hence it is an appropriate name for a treasure trove of colour and art.
IRIS Art Mag has just sprouted. It is just the beginning of a great idea and needs your appreciation and support.
